Within the “Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry nurseries, over a million seedlings of over 100 species and varieties of woody plants are produced annually, which are sold in various assortments and presentation forms. “Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry specialists offer design, execution and maintenance services of green spaces, as well as the provision of specialist technical advice.
Since its establishment in 1933, “Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry has made significant theoretical and practical contributions to the development of ornamental arboriculture in Romania. These have been transferred into practice through technical norms and guidelines, standards for the production and marketing of ornamental tree and shrub saplings. “Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry has contributed to the development of ornamental arboriculture through the production of significant amounts of ornamental dendrological material in its own nurseries.
In the “Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry nurseries, since the 60s, ornamental seedlings of over 140 species and varieties have been produced, mainly intended to complement and enrich the scientific collections in the botanical gardens, dendrological parks and arboretums of our country.
Currently, in the “Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry nurseries, significant amounts of ornamental dendrological material, of different sizes and ages, are produced annually, in different ways of delivery/presentation (with soil bales, in containers/containers, with bare roots), belonging to over 100 species.
“Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry supports everyone who wants to use quality ornamental dendrological material, adapted to the soil and climate conditions in our country, for the creation of new green spaces, or for the arrangement, completion and enrichment of existing ones. By creating green spaces we bring nature into our way of life.
