General Objective of the Project/Purpose of the Project
The main objective of the project is to create the conditions for improving/maintaining the favorable conservation status of habitats and species in the Cheile Nerei-Beușnița National Park and the overlapping Natura 2000 sites through the revision of the management plan.
The main indicator of the project is the approved Management Plan, so by achieving this, the project will contribute to achieving the outcome indicator of program 2S36: Number of Natura 2000 sites under management or custodianship, with an approved management plan and implemented conservation measures.
Specific Objectives of the Project
O.1. Updating the scientific information of the protected natural areas in order to effectively substantiate the conservation objectives and management measures that will be proposed in the revised plan.
O.2. Raising awareness among the population about the importance of conserving biodiversity in Natura 2000 sites.
O.3. Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Administrator to improve the management of the national park and the Natura 2000 sites targeted by the project.
